Thread: 3.0 Launch Predictions

It skinda saddens me how people predict what will happen after the expansion. Not because they're being too pessimistic, but because they might be right. Since we know we have a super whiney, hard to please, with unrealistic expectations for certain stuff and spoiled playerbase.

Its common knowledge that its two weeks after the launch of HW. He is clearly referring to 3 days after Alexander launches. Its implied.

Server explodes then forum explodes. While yoshi is like <3 all this monies he'll be like didn't expect this many ppl to play! <3

And ofc lalafells will make countless threads about their master race god complex being threatened by au ra.

80% of these predictions are spot on and will happen. Pretty funny how we all expect of whats to come already.

Ghost towns filled with AFK players (you know why they do this)

I predict:
- The first instance will crash due to the influx of players. Y'all remember that first instance when 2.0 launched?
- People will probably be Level 60 with two days
- People will burn through the story just to be in time for Alexander when it opens up
- The final part of Heavensward will force players to skip cutscenes because the dungeon is too long (CM and Praetorium)
- New trials being like "Have cleared before. No new players. Watch a video before joining"

Just a couple of thoughts.

I predict there will be a new find this item/person in the MSQ in Ishgard that will take me 20 minutes, because my system is trying to load the 800 people in the area before the thing I need to find.

1) Server congestion: The servers WILL be flooded to hell, no matter what SE does.
2) Forum complaints about everything else on this list: Goes without saying.
2a) "Requests" for more of something
2b) "Requests" for less of the same thing (I'm cheating here since this'll happen anyway)
3) People playing DRK and expecting to be DPS
4) Players leaving groups if they see DRKs because of #3
5) LOLDRG stigma will have the last letter changed.
6) AST played as DPS
7) AST not doing DPS
8) MCH is the new BRD
9) MCH DPS is too high and HERE'S PROOF!
10) MCH DPS is too low and HERE'S PROOF!
11) One job, or all three, will be "too powerful" or "underpowered."
12) New abilities will make X class the new flavor of the month, while Y class becomes underpowered.
13) iLevels will go up, but too fast for some and not fast enough for others.
14) Some will finish everything in 2 weeks, and complain about nothing to do.
15) Alexander will be too easy
16) Alexander will be too hard. At the same time.
17) Players will call for a "rollback to pre-3.0" within 2 weeks of the expansion's launch, and will continue this call until they ultimately quit the game.
18) Players who don't buy the expansion will complain about having nothing to do.
19) Au Ra invasion, followed by a sudden spike in Fantasia sales.
20) Each "run" of Alexander will be conquered within three days of launch.
21) Someone will hit lvl 60 within 8 hours of the expansion's launch.
22) A lvl 60 AST, MCH, and DRK will be present for each server before the early start period is over.

You understand predictions work with picking one or the other right? If you pick ALL the options then the house needs to change the rules to deal with you. So be very careful what you wish for.

Huh? He didn't specify Savage Alexander. Normal Alexander will be available at launch according to everything I've seen. . .
