Thread: 3.0 Launch Predictions

Prediction:

1) People will be glad to see a PLD or WAR insteand of a DRK in any instance thats lvl 50 or lower.
2) Instance Servers will be fked over multiple times a day. 2.4 and 2.5 was bad enough and if they dont change the system we wont be running instances anytime soon until the 2nd or 3rd Emergency Maint :/
3) Ridiculous prices for new crafted gear/HQ materials - and i will make a shitton of money out of it
4) People will cry about stupid materia melding rates because they are too impatient and dont want to wait for tokens to build up
5) People will cry about the time it needs to hit 60, either its too fast or too slow. Even if they knew beforehand because Yoshi said its roughly the same as 1-50
6) People will cry about other people - because they do that always, even moreso now that they will have to run instances for EXP again.
7) People will cry about prices for Housing extension and Crafting
8) OK lets just end the 4-7 point list with: People will cry about everything that doesnt match 100% their expectations
9) FATE mobs will have like 7000% of the original HP, because 100+ people are hitting it like there wont be a tomorrow
10) Old Cities will be ghosttowns for the major parts and Ishgard will be laggier then mordhona on reset time at tuesday atm
11) People will complain about login times - i can see the AFK kick comming back, we all remember how bad it was at 2.0 release when we didnt have that feature yet

I could go on, over 18 month of XIV i been taught one thing: You never will please everyone

Being a lalafell i can make predictions that go even further in to the future~

3.0 - A great wave of new refugees arrive in Eorzea causing miqo'te hunters to travel elsewhere in search of enough food for their tribes to live on. Soon after several hyur and elezen adventurers go missing. These events become noticeable at this point causing a rise in lalafell aggression twards the au ra whom they suspect are responsible for their lost slaves.

3.1 - After it becomes commonly suggested that the au ra have shaken the long standing dominance of lalafell in Eorzea the once mighty yet scattered overlords join together to declare war against this new threat to their superiority.

3.2 - mass campaigns are waged by both sides causing general panic within the Eorzean populace as more and more zones are swept up in the chaos, only broken by occasional alliances to slaughter garleans and hostile primals as their continuing efforts to
subjugate the realm become a mild irritation to both master races.

3.3 - specific generals within the au ra and lalafell hierarchies begin to find common ground in their shared goals of enlightening the lesser races of Hydaelin and begin peace negotiations, the population of Eorzea does not know what to make of this until it's too late....

3.4 - After conquering and enslaving the whole of Eorzea, ending the war between Ishgard and Dravania, tempering the primals. enacting a mass genocidal campaign against RMT, ending world hunger, and obliterating the acian order~ the Lala ra Empire is born in full, with armies spanning the entire world, The Garlean empire is quickly subdued and their vaunted magitech improved and redeployed in service to their new masters.

3.5 - The secrets of dimensional travel are fully unlocked, and the Lala ra empire prepare to expand...

1. Invasion of Scrub Knights trying to be dps and ruining all low level content forever.
2. Nobody will get early access due to server crashes.
3. Every map will lag like mor dhona due to the constant fate leveling of the new classes.
4. Everyone will be pissed because their unrealistic expectations won't come true.
5. Jaundeline deletes himself.

No, I fully expect all of this to happen simultaneously, as I mentioned.
Nothing on my list is mutually exclusive.
