WoW allowed meters. The only thing that actually annoyed me was when children(giving adults the benefit of the doubt...too generous) would spam them too often...But really, they were just proud of how well they were performing, and if that made them feel good I could tolerate it. It was extremely rare to witness anything like harassment. I think it is perfectly valid to post them after a failed or successful boss attempt. If your performance was so poor it would embarrass you, you need to own it and make changes and do better. The meters are working as intended IMHO in that case. Just being at the bottom is not embarrassing , performing at half of what you gear and level suggests, is, and I feel the people you are grouping with deserve to know if you are that bad. As someone else so eloquently said before, Tank and healer performance is readily available in the game for all to see and they have to own it, why doesn't DPS?
