Blacklist....If I play with someone and their performance is so poor and it makes the experience so bad that I don't want to group with that person again, does that make me or anyone else who makes that choice bad? How is that any different from not wanting to group with a rude person again? they both ruin the experience of others.

The next post will be about how you are not an unforgiving lout in any way but are still human just like the rest of us.

I can come up with hypothetical players too, but I'm not so eager to use the blacklist or constantly gauging someone's worth to get out of a party. Am I bad for my choices?

You just like your next post is going to say how you are also human, and actually care how your performance affects the experience of others and want to get better even though you have absolutely zero interest in obtaining real data that would actually allow you to see how your performance is impacting. That doesn't make you lazy or selfish at all.

Because people are super sensitive and for some reason it's okay to shame bad tanks and healers, but if there's one or two bad dps in a pug farm group for coil I would like to know things like "who's not pulling their weight because the adds are still alive" or "hey, you see that enrage? That's really weird since no one died and we're all well over i120...."

The (minor) toxicity issue that people overblow on the forums is why I feel that the public in game parsing should only be allowable for the content where it actually matters (I.E. ex primals or coil).

Private personal in game parsers limited to trivial content (tower raids, dungeons, etc).

Its always amusing to see people downplay the negative behavior that being able to freely harass people with parser numbers brings. Give personal parsers so players in statics can learn and improve, but adding it freely to be spammed in PUG content is just wishing and praying for toxic behavior.

It's because most people overplay hypothetical situations. When you say the part about pug content, are you using it in context of the REST of my quote which you cut out? Are you saying it's going to be bad if they gave us an in game public parser for those pugging into t10-t13?

You mean the part about the public parser for DF groups in EX Primals and Coils? Yes.

If a group is of average skill where one exceptionally bad player brings it down that player should be ousted. And before you rip my context to shreds (because it happens every time on these forums) I'm talking about people trying to clear content.

I am very forgiving when people are learning, we were all new once before. I even expect people to sometimes fumble in farm group pugs, I don't expect "top tier dps".

However, we need a public metric in the content where this discussion actually matters, or we'll just have the "250 dps poetics heroes" being silently kicked from groups with no idea what they were doing wrong. Since calling out someone's bad dps is against the ToS, even privately.

But of course, we can call out and kick tanks if they constantly fail to pick up adds or lose aggro, or healers who fail to heal through or mitigate unavoidable damage.

Hmm maybe if there were an option to toggle it to public for pre-mades. Perhaps as a condition to join the PF group. But even with EX and Coils, if its a DF group, I just don't agree with a public parser.

For one, harassing people is already against ToS. Secondly, they are already "spammed" in Pug content. Any PC player that wants to view their own DPS which is a lot already have them, yet the Apocalypse of "toxic behavior" is not upon us.
