By claiming a person would rarely receive any consequences for harassing someone for poor DPS simply because parsers were legal. Which is again, not the case. Even if they were fair game to use, harassing people for low DPS would not be allowed.

Basically even if there is proof(via parse) that someone's DPS is low, that does not give you a green light to mock and ridicule.

I never said rarely, or even implied it anywhere. Just because something isn't easy to do, doesn't mean it is rarely done. Please don't confuse difficulty with rarity. It is 100% correct to claim that judging someones intent or actions to be worthy of consequence as a figure of authority (i.e. a GM) is not to be taken lightly. Hence, the not being able to do very easily comment. You seem to be applying too much of your own outlook into wrongfully accusing me of something I'm not saying or even remotely implying.

Right now, because parsers require a third party add-on, parsing IS in-fact grounds for action if they choose to act on it. So yeah, parsing by default due to circumstance for this specific game, is in violation. Don't misconstrue my words into an all or nothing. I'm pointing out that the current state of things makes the fact that it's not approved of to be a tool to fight against bad behavior, one of many in that arsenal for player protection. I do agree however, that mockery and ridicule is not right, regardless of what is and isn't allowed to use as a tool.

Not true at all. The harassment is what the focus on when banning or whatever conciquence they deem necessary. The fact that you are parsing is irrelevant even in the current ToS.

This happened approximately a year ago. I'm not sure if anything has been changed since then.

You need to look at AoE as potency per target. Fire 2 has a potency of 100 while Fire 1 is 170 and Fire 3 is 240. Firestarter is a 40% proc rate. Additionally, Fire 2 takes 0.5s longer to cast than Fire 1. Now, you can easily crunch these numbers to see how many enemies need to be in AoE range before Fire 2 overtakes Fire 1 with Firestarter procs as a DPS gain.

You said "situation mocking is not an offense according to ToS". Which would imply exactly what I've stated in the post you quoted. If you misspoke that's fine but mocking and harassment in all forms is typically consequential.

My point is if it is made legal, you will still be able to report people under the circumstance that they are actually harassing you.

That's probably the first I've ever seen that happen since the rule was included in ToS. That being said, alot of people on these boards openly speak about parser-use, DPS as well as post ACT SS's. None have been banned or penalized to my knowledge unless player(s) had a direct problem with it.

im aginst parsers for anything other then solo dungeons.. as much as people deny it, its gonna be abused as hell to those who arent performing to the "standards" others are expecting in most cases its just gonna turn into a giant pissing contest.. ur dps is to low i have a friend who wants to join whose dps is so much better then you so kicking you blah blah blah

vote kick system is already unfairly abused to new players for pretty petty reasons.. alot of people wont care if some1 is new or not asoon as they see low numbers = kicked

Agreed people might notice I afk after using a 1 button macro that attacks every 20 seconds in CT/ST.

This isn't about "I". Try gain a little perspective.

That's cuz I don't care for Coil gear. Does that make me a bad player? Did I have the luxury of having a static back than? Being overgear doesn't mean jack to insta kill mechanics. Do I play competitively? Do I care how I approach a fight? All answers to these questions are No because I don't care what anyone thinks on how I play.
