    I lose my stacks quite a few times for reasons I can't control in Turn 9.

    Second meteorstream in phase 1.
    First and Second Golem drop.
    Second meteor drop on party.
    During the megaflare countdown.
    During meteorstream in phase 4 (divebombs).

    I usually parse the highest a lot of the times anyways. I somehow think SE planned the classes with these details in mind.

    Almost every marking mechanic in endgame can be handled while preserving GL. Your "hypothetical example" evidences a monk who has more to learn, or a monk dealing with a very specific encounter.

    Do you believe this is reason enough to forbid parsers? Because one extraordinarily unlucky monk needs to git gud?
