In the forbidden land known as PVP.
Add this after a wipe/clear of an encounter. It doesn't give exact numbers per second, but you can definitely see who needs to step up their game if you can compare two side by side.

mnk, your dps was lowest on that last try
mnk, "yea, I was marked 4 times in a row, went almost 30 seconds without GL stacks"
"sorry, but we gotta kick you"
mnk, "..."
Even with mechanics, there's no reason to be the lowest DPS short of poor gear or deaths on MNK. That being said anyone that would kick for low DPS is probably already parsing and knows how you rank according to everyone.
Are we talking DF groups here? Would kicking people for low dps even be allowed in DF groups?

What is with this sentiment that others must be judged by some manner of metric. HP, iL, DPS... I just don't get it. So the Monk could keep Greased Lightning going for the whole fight, did they at least hit the target in a consistently persistent manner? Did they avoid the avoidable damage? Did they get anyone else killed? No, then what's the problem? Seriously, we don't need any kind of peer accessible metric, at it will serve is to feed egos and damage groups.
It's not about SE's capabilities why this is not implemented. A DPS meter will cause too much drama.
Cuz there's no way anyone can be the lowest. All DPS numbers must read the exact same.
we already have drama w/o it, so the drama issue is some what irrelevant. I personally would like a system the OP mention so I can check my DPS on PS4, which I can use to improve my rotation, harass other ppl or defense myself again an accuse for do low dmg.
