As iLv.111 DRG I'm often 2 or 3 on the hate list in WoD. Just seeing that is enough to see my rotations are fair and playing a part towards victory. I don't need Obama in my ear.
Quellign Strikes. Elusive Jump. Being a monk (Good sustained but no threat dumps.) These instantly mitigate your point. What's more likely happening is you're just dealing less DPS than everyone else - you're just not popping any threat dropping abilities (sorry!)

Please, NEVER think that "Threat" is a measure of DPS. It isn't. Threat is literally just that - it's how much enmity you generate. What a good DPS does: Deals DPS, while making sure their threat threshhold never exceeds the tank (That second part is important to me whenever I play my i130 DRG.)

im always popping repelling shot whenever my agro bar starts to get close to the tanks.. since i use my buffs asoon as they come of cd often steal agro if not watching the bars ;/ always position myself remotely close to healers aswell cause some dont really watch thier agro levels so handy to be close by to instantly try n get agro off them ;/

I appreciate the idea of personally improving dps, I usually have to search on my own for the finer points of NIN. I'm wary of its other applications.

Sure it's not a meassure of a DPS. But it still shows you a good approximation in relation to the rest(just looking at the dps enmity bars). If a DPS even with quelling strikes or elusive jump is way ahead of the rest of the DPS you know something is wrong with whoever is the low hanging fruit(i.e. if a DPS is at 80% of the bar while the others at ~50% while one is at 10% something is wrong there). I see it often when I as a bard am right after the tank on enmity in fights(or near so). Even with quelling strikes opening I'll get there fast often enough. Though I love testing out tanks with non quelling strikes openings(I prefer to use quelling for adds so I don't pull them and screw stuff up).

Didn't read though the 15 pages so if this has already been mentioned sorry.

I would support this HOWEVER, only if you are solo in DF (no parties), AND it only showed it when you clear or leave the dungeon/trial/raid/guildhest that way you can see personally how you stacked up with completely other people, also remove the "which world they are from and use only character's initials. (to prevent any possible harassment issues)

The information that should be shown is
Job, Character's initials, average item level, damage dealt, damage taken, healing done, number of skills used, average accuracy

This way the information is on the private level (no harassment) and it can be used to help players who don't have that static "coaching" them on how to be better.

I don't support this at all because I don't need more BS that I deal with in-game already. I see numbers, that's all I care about. Damage, YaY. Just shut it and kill stuff.

Unfortunately many end game encounters cannot be simply defeated by pushing random buttons that make numbers pop up. There are things called "enrage timers" which means DPS needs to play their job properly if they hope to get their phat lewtz.

Yeah I know about "Enrage Timers." I dealt with them in XI and this game is no different. End game encounters you're talking about are completely optional and honestly I vowed to never do those types of encounters with randoms. I'm only doing them with people I know.

I see a comment like this and before even going to your lodestone I can tell you're rocking full poetics gear and don't raid until you over-gear the content by 20 ilvls and echo is introduced.

This isn't about "I". Try gain a little perspective.

Speaking of perspective, I think it should be noted that you're just as guilty of the "I" argument. For starters, you're not even considering the perspective of how it affects the stability of players outside of highest tier endgame, which is exactly where the inevitable problems would occur. This player base (or any collective really) will, without a single doubt, take advantage of tools made available to misuse and abuse the system or others. If it's purely about the endgame use, parsers already exist and SE is okay with it, they just won't officiate its use. Why do you need them to officially allow it when they already accept that people do? Why do you want to remove the only safeguard players have in content that doesn't even need it? Why are you ridiculing others outside of this content the content it's primarily used for? You are the very problem people have against parsers, you just don't realize it because of your perspective on the matter.
