Pretty simple. I'd like to get some support going for a removal of the Vote Abandon mechanic. There is NOTHING in this game that makes me want to just log out and quit for a week like such an awful concept as Vote Abandon. I can't even count how many times I've been in a duty finder group for thirty, forty minutes, gradually progressing and repeatedly getting extremely close to a clear, and then someone pops up Vote Abandon with 25-30 minutes still left and just wastes time. It is INFURIATING.
I don't care if someone is a whiny impatient jerk and drops group to give themselves a 30 minute penalty. I don't care if the group falls apart naturally and no one wants to wait for rank replenishment. What I care is having agency taken completely out of my hands and thrown at anyone who wants to just quit and give up. For two hours today I've been throwing myself at a Duty. One failed, the other is getting closer and closer, we've gotten it down to 10-20% health various times, only some simple screwups are causing issues. Nothing major. And then suddenly, with no less than twenty-eight minutes left, Vote Abandon pops up and I've just wasted the last hour and a half of my evening for absolutely nothing, and it wasn't even my choice to stop.
This has to be one of the worst mechanics I've ever seen and honestly I have no idea why it's even implemented other than to stop the first person who drops from getting a penalty--and let's be honest, the jerk who doesn't want to sit around a Learning Party is going to drop the group after one or two wipes regardless of the 30 minutes or not. All this is doing is forcing people who want to keep persevering until the end to have their time wasted by anyone who wants to quit.
If ANYTHING, Vote Abandon should be an absolutely unanimous vote, and nothing more. Why this can even pass when who knows how many people are still voting no is beyond me. Please, Square, get RID of Vote Abandon. It's nothing but a blight on Duty Finder.
