The Future is changing!

Hello everyone and developers team,

I post this with a tought in mine mind. What is the future of Gaming in FFXIV real world.
We all know that Playstation is coming with there VR glasses and Microsoft with there Hololens. People that doesn't know what Microsoft Hololens is then here a sneak peak in this youtube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6sL_5Wgvrg.
What will FFXIV or SE do?
If you for instant get the hololens. Maybe it is possible that you don't need a keyboard at all but saying by words, what you will see in the video's. Like you do your skill by saying: "Shield Bash" and give tells/FC/linkshell1 to 8 by saying: tells/FC/linkshell1, 2, 3 etc....
This is what I wanted to say for the future in FFXIV or SE world.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that SE won't support it. If anything the only way it would be support would be through the community. Its a pretty useless device tbh.

@intopic: Voice commands will be a bit annoying for people trying to sleep behind you. When it comes to games, I'll always prefer keyboard+mouse//controller over any interface that requires actual movement (Reason why I don't own a Wii). I'd like to see a VR version of Eorzea, and Yoshi-p was already experimenting with it, but taking the most voted comment from it and posting it here...

If i've learned anything from anime, it's don't go into an VR mmo...

"The future never changes..." Sorry, couldn't help it. Anyway, the problem with playing the game using something like the Oculus Rift is that this game wasn't designed to be played in the first person. There's a substantial disconnect, what with how in first person the view is only of what's in front of you and no matter what you do the camera doesn't move when you're performing actions leaving only the HUD to tell you what you just did. With how busy battles can get, that would result in a lot of unnecessary damage that could have been avoided if you, say, had the camera zoomed all the way out. As cool as VR would be, this game would need substantial changes to how the first person camera works before it'd be viable.

I've never liked voice command stuff, always seemed like a lame gimmick. Don't really see that stuff going beyond a niche.

Well with a game as fast pace as this, it would be nifty to use voice chat to type while using my hands to do combat related things. But then... there already are voice chat programs that we can and do use to accomplish the same thing essentially, but with smaller groups of people.

The good thing about something like that would be that it would work for anyone in the game. I would probably use it once I got used to it, but then why not just incorporate local or private voice chat directly into the game integration at that point. One has to wonder.
