I play the mobile League of Angels. Totally different game and most likely from a different company. Only reason I figured I'd click the advertisement on mmorpg.com lol

that is pretty sad and yet some how quite ballsy to actually steal someone elses video/CGI assets like that...
FF14 ARR is coming to China right (if it hasnt already, pretty behind on times)
Cant the Chinese branch of ARR shut these guys down due to copyright on their grounds?
I laughed pretty hard, that's pretty brazen.
The chinese publisher of xiv would have to take it up with them.
Copyright laws in China and similar countries are a completely different ball game than they are in other areas of the world. I'm sure they could. The real question is if it would be worth it. Now Japan on the other hand are real sticklers for protecting their intellectual properties, so if they did want to pursue action through the Chinese branch, that would be an interesting fight.
They're actually a totalitarian "republic," not communist. They just call themselves communist because it sounds better than what they actually are.
That said...yeah they don't give a crap about copyright laws.
There was once a fake Apple store there that was so convincing, even the employees didn't realize they weren't working in an Apple store. Or maybe it was Nokia. Either way.
