Alternate use of Poetics

Any word on if there will be any other use for poetics? Trying to decide between saving them or using them for a new job. Also any suggestion for a new class to level preferably anything that doesn't require macros. Currently have full iron works for my Monk and Warrior.

Future uses include upgrade to new uncapped tome at a 1:5 ratio, and maybe crafting items. Big maybe on the crafting items, because they might do away with them completely 4 weeks into expansion when they add the new capped tomes.

With 3.0 you can also buy mats and Alexandrite maps with them, if SE keep them for lv50 content

This sentence caught my eye. Is it confirmed that the capped tomes will be locked out with Alexander? I assumed that would be the case but I assumed things before and I found myself to be way more off than expected.

Honestly, I think Soldiery and Poetics will stick around. Otherwise, there would be nothing for 2.X players to do.

Also, if you're looking for a new job to try, how about Black Mage? It doesn't require macros (some are helpful, like Swiftcast -> Flare), but I personally find it fun.

Poetics would stick around, Soldiery would prolly get hit with the same thing as Mythology and Philosophy

Not sure exactly what you are asking. New tomes of law released at 3.0, probably gonna be ilvl140 gear, they will be uncapped. 2 weeks later Alexander weaksauce released, likely to drop ilvl150 gear. 2 weeks after that, Alexander hard and weekly capped esoteric tomes released.
