Does instant transportation effect game immersion?

Haha.. Well, lemme give you some credit for that, that actually makes more sense than any other justification used so far for insta-airships.

This game does often feature light-hearted and silly comedy moments sometimes, so I figured, "why couldn't this be one of them?"

It's a ridiculous theory, but I can very easily see an Elezen being fired from an airship into the forests of Black Shroud and slamming into a tree, before slowly sliding down it in a typical cartoon way to the groan of "uuurgh, damned Lalafell mechanics!"
