Entering a new zone should be
1. exciting
2. scary
3. adventurous

In XIV currently its not.

These all depend on the player. I walked to Mor Dhona and tried to get all the Aetherytes at R15. All of the above were present when attempting to achieve that goal. Your point has been nullified.
