Suggestions for Improving Chocobos and Other Mount Issues!

Everything but #3 is anyway in the works or is already possible. 3 is just nitpicking anyway. Personally I use controller and don't want to dismount for accidental button presses so I don't want that feature anyway.

It's weird because you can do some things like interacting with people/objects and it automatically dismounts you, but not initiating combat actions...

It's not weird. Originally the system had no auto dismount. What you have today is there by player request so only that request was fulfilled. It was a specific quality is life fix not a overall overhaul for all situations done as quickly as possible to make players happy.

A huge yes for the dismount-upon-attack.. It bugs me so much that I have to dismount and then attack - especially as a ps4 player, the dismount button (L3) focuses on the enemy, especially if you pull an enemy or mob and it auto-targets... I've lost count of how many times I've spent a few seconds targetting, untargetting and then dismounting because I keep forgetting the damn auto-target.

Press L1+R1 while mounted. It also sheath/unsheath your weapon while not mounted.

Thanks for the clarification. I guess the issue I was having was I cant right click my portrait (or the chocobos portrait) and dismiss that way. Having to go through a separate menu instead of just right clicking is kind of annoying.

Move the icon to your hotbar and use it like a skill.
