If given the option IRL to instantly be at my destination rather than having to spend time on public transportation getting there, I would pick instant travel every time. I'm not playing the game to take a scenic trip through the realm and if I was, I would just run around taking a scenic trip through the realm. I played FFXI a lot and the airship ride was a complete waste of time an overwhelming majority of the times I rode it. There were a few fun times here and there and I mean who doesn't love trying to ID a specific looking passenger over and over, but if given the option I would totally skip it. I think it's awesome that I can be spared what probably amounted to several hours of wasted play time due to the real time airship ride.
