Is this still going on? There's no logical way to define what is better in cases like these. Many like anima, many others dislike it. It's in cases like these that a rep should be allowed to make a poll to see the proportion of people in favor and those against it, so the devs can work accordingly and there isn't so much conflict trying to push one subjective opinion over the opposing one.

Or just do what they're doing, and giving options for both sides.
