    iso...

I am looking for ppl to run with in Mysidia that want to group together to run nm so ppl can get gear they need without feeling like a nag, that go for sp pts in various rank ranges so everyone gets a chance to get sp without being reduced to constant soloing, that doesnt require you to be on vent or you are left out of just about everything, that slow down so you understand what you are doing in various dungeons and situations instead of burning thru them and just want to have fun in game. I also dont want to have to register on 10 diff ls website and fill out 10 diff applications or login to check a website 10 times a day. I can be hardcore but I dont even pay that much attn to my university email.

I am on est, pug36/con24/thm28 are what Im lvling and am usually on evenings and weekends. Any ls thats a lil more casual but still active and friendly? I'm getting sooo bored doing craft leves, soloing battle leves and killing stuff all by my lonesome with just the occasional pt, nm/dungeon runs, or event that I barely stay logged in for long anymore. Help an Elezen out ^^

ok so you want an LS that

    hosts grind parties
    runs events
    teaches you how to play
    is casual
    is friendly

    yet you dont want to

    fill out an application
    use voip

two of the most common practices for any serious LS/Guild?

Im sure you are an alright guy and all but I dont think looking for friends in such a way is going to be very successful. Good Luck though.

I agree, I don't care for voip, and I don't see the need to fill out an applciation. Is it that difficult to just send an ls invite? I mean, the number of truely BAD people in xiv are extremely low. My shell uses voip, but I generally don't. I have speakers, listen to music, and watch tv when playing ffxiv. I can type ls chat, even during events and such. Only time to really use it is when everyone gets drunk. Then it's kinda fun, like a party but without any real people...

I am all for participating and even starting nm, sp grind, leve runs and what not I just want a ls that has ppl who participate more. And no I do not use voip and have no want to unless its necessary for dungeons and such. I have roommates that are watching tv and I do too, alongside of doing homework, which means usually I am on mute unless it is something I have to give 100% to. Applications are more a pita then a necessity too since they really dont tell you much about the person you cant find out in 5 mins or less of idle chat. I never used them for my ls in xi and I had a fantastic and active core group. It seems to be a concept someone came up with years ago that serves no real purpose imo since you really cant know what a player is like unless you actually play along side of them. Same with vent, we never used it unless we did salvage, nyzul, dyna or something because most ppl are doing stuff outside of the game at any given moment or are in situations where it is not possible for them to use it for chatting. So if the ls is silent onscreen that person feels alone.
I guess Im on my way for redicule or flaming again cause I have a life outside the mmo. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother...

my intention was not to ridicule or flame you in any way, just saying I dont think it is much to ask for for someone to spend 5 minutes out of their day to fill out an application or be willing to at the very least listen in on voip for events, and flat out refusing to in your introduction letter might have a negative outcome you where not necessarily looking for.

As for filling out applications I think it is important if you are looking to avoid issues that can be caught before inviting someone to an LS, especially in a game that has very little LS controls. Take my LS for example, we have been formed since pre-release, we are almost always near cap with LS member size, with a majority being active players. and yet we have had little to no drama, all our members are awesome and I think it is because we do have an application screening process. Our application isnt long but it does what it does, it is designed to get a quick glimpse at someones personality.

As for VOIP, if you plan to do any endgame I think it is best that you be flexible to at least listen in on what ever voice communication an LS is nice enough to provide, most LSs do not require you to speak but it comes in very handy with sticky situations where typing is just a nuisance.

I'm just trying to help you out.

I agree you would be hard pressed to find many bad people on Mysidia, yet the number of creepers is quite high. Being a part of a shell that hs quite a high volume of female players we have to try and avoid those unsavory folk.

Only time to really use it is when everyone gets drunk. Then it's kinda fun, like a party but without any real people...

we host drunk fishing every other friday next one is tomorrow we do it in mordohna north of fogfens we even have awesome drinking rules

    1. When you catch 2 or more fish or a +2 or higher quality fish, everyone but you takes a drink.

    2. When you catch 2 or more + 2 or higher quality fish, everyone but you takes two drink.

    3. When you catch a crayfish, the junk of the sea, you have to drink.

    4. When you level or rank up, everyone celebrates with a drink.

    5. When you die to a mob, you must finish your drink.

    6. When someone manages to catch 3 +3's, everyone but the one to catch it must finish their drink. (We only do this for the first 3 caught)

    7. If it's 3 +3 crayfish, then everyone including the one that caught it finishes their drink. (This is rare so we drink every time it happens)

    8. You must say 'Drink up Bitches' when you catch a fish/fishes that apply to the above rules except crayfish.

    9. BEWARE:: Drunk fishing usually turns into DRUNK Karaoke!!

anyone outside the LS is welcome to join us!

This event makes fishing fun and for most of us it is the only time we fish.

ok just came across a lil that way to me, no worries

As far as endgame thats fine to use talk, but for everyday ls conversation I dont find it useful. I dont think I should have to be on voicechat the whole time im online, even when Im checking out the bazaars or just crafting cause no one wants to talk in the ls log. Voice during end game events and what not make things tons easier, agreed. But should not be used for everyday conversation. Too much of the ls is left out that way and its a great way to loose members due to a silent shell.
