my intention was not to ridicule or flame you in any way, just saying I dont think it is much to ask for for someone to spend 5 minutes out of their day to fill out an application or be willing to at the very least listen in on voip for events, and flat out refusing to in your introduction letter might have a negative outcome you where not necessarily looking for.

As for filling out applications I think it is important if you are looking to avoid issues that can be caught before inviting someone to an LS, especially in a game that has very little LS controls. Take my LS for example, we have been formed since pre-release, we are almost always near cap with LS member size, with a majority being active players. and yet we have had little to no drama, all our members are awesome and I think it is because we do have an application screening process. Our application isnt long but it does what it does, it is designed to get a quick glimpse at someones personality.

As for VOIP, if you plan to do any endgame I think it is best that you be flexible to at least listen in on what ever voice communication an LS is nice enough to provide, most LSs do not require you to speak but it comes in very handy with sticky situations where typing is just a nuisance.

I'm just trying to help you out.

ok just came across a lil that way to me, no worries

As far as endgame thats fine to use talk, but for everyday ls conversation I dont find it useful. I dont think I should have to be on voicechat the whole time im online, even when Im checking out the bazaars or just crafting cause no one wants to talk in the ls log. Voice during end game events and what not make things tons easier, agreed. But should not be used for everyday conversation. Too much of the ls is left out that way and its a great way to loose members due to a silent shell.
