Zeta Weapon Upgrades?!

If anyone could shed some light on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

What will become of our Zodiac Zeta weapons in 3.0? Will they be used to be upgraded further and become more powerful, or will they be done away with, with new Relic Weapons?!

I think more infos are coming some weeks before 3.1 (or in the 3.1 patch notes)

Or perhaps no advantage at all (as absolutely none was ever promised thus far). The reward could, for example, simply be a title.

I get the feeling when we finally get our answer there are going to be a lot of annoyed people who were allowing themselves to expect more instead of less.

Where people after Heavensward if they decide to make a Zeta for the glamour will only be able to get the "Z" title.

My personal guess is that people with Zeta will get a headstart in the 3.1 Relic questline.
What kind of headstart it could involve I don't know since I don't know what it will feature.

If you compare it to the current relic quest, the most obvious headstart would be skipping the initial busywork of forging your baseline relic and just using your Zeta instead.

They've already said that i130 gear will be good to level 55-ish, so the initial ilvl of the new relic at 60 would probably not be too far off what the current Zeta relics end up at now. It's not like they're ever going to let people skip huge amounts of what's presumably going to be a very long grind, and if the new relic starts at say 140 in its unfinished state, it's going to make a Zeta look like a big pile of garbage anyway.

Really all that they have said is if you have your finished relic, it will give you a boost in the expansion.

I was just trying to let you know that before people chime in and say it will be a "viable weapon until level 55" or a "base to start your new relic weapon off of" ...or any other speculation, that no one truly knows anything. Consideration...it could be simply a title. A minion, You may be able to hang it on your wall. No one knows yet.

Right, I get what you mean, thank you. At least, if anything, they can still be used to glamour, because they are gorgeous. It's just a lot of work to get just ONE, so hopefully all that work won't go to waste.
