So I hit 50 a few days ago on war. Been 50 pally since launch. At this point so close to expansion, should I just go with melded ruby slaying or spend the money on platinum melded? Left side is all fending of course. Thanks.

Don't go broke before the expansion, save your money.

If you decide you need one or the other, go Ruby, as it's cheaper and just as viable as Platinum in all content. Platinum is better, obviously, but a full Platinum set has never been a necessity for anything.

Don't waste your gil. It's incredibly easy to get a full set of i120+ left side, and that's enough VIT for anything (even final coil because of echo). Get Gloam/poetic STR accessories.

yeah save your gil for the next crafted set, no point spending 20mil now since as stated echo everywhere and weathered/unweathered are easy to get and then replace with poetics acc's when you can to get the 130's.
