i deathflare living liquid at the start, miasma each jelly, and then use bio and r2 for filler. iirc im allowed 3 uses of aetherflow and rouse if i want all of my stuff back up on time for cascade to start? i've been using 2 of them on painflare when spawn rng is nice, and another on td + bane within the first 2 waves so that'll be up on time as well. i use b2 on a designated big jelly in the last phase as well. is there anything else im missing that could help contribute to the add phase without ruining my opener for phase change?
would appreciate any feedback. i apologize in advance if this has already been discussed before, i didn't catch it when i was reading the rest of the thread.
My group uses DRG, MNK, MCH, SMN, which is arguably one of the worst standard comps for add phase considering MCH and SMN are straight up downgrades over BRD and BLM in this phase. We spend almost nothing that won't come back by the time Pepsiman shines, so it's mostly about strategy and speed, not so much about comp or max DPS output.

You actually can't use any Aetherflow stacks if you want to come at Pepsiman balls to the wall AFAIK, I think Pepsiman comes back around 4:50-ish and you should be doing Aetherflow around 3m20 (which means 4m20 and 5m20 for when it comes back up), so you'd miss your group's buffs on Pepsiman if you try to milk that extra Aetherflow in add phase. While it sure is nice to do some nice AoE in add phase, it's really not needed.

What I do is literally, Miasma spam, Obeying Garuda to things that need a little extra love, with a little free milk here and there. Anyone can solo a small slime, so what should be happening is melee going after the big ones if they don't have to travel too much (otherwise they should just hit the closest small one), SMN heavying everything, and SCH/MCH working more on the smalls and the ones getting a bit farther out. If you get targeted by magnet you will be unable to Miasma everything, so tell your SCH you can't get to everything if you're picked so he can hopefully pick up the slack. There's really not much more to add phase on a personal level, it's just about everyone smacking things they can ASAP, everything getting heavied, and all the stuns getting done. I'd wager if you guys are consistently getting stuck your team hasn't figured out the flow they should be taking as a whole, rather than something personal.

no worries, thread is filled with secondary stat spam posts that has the same ending result anyway, you can ask questions whenever you are worried about something. I think there was another thread posted on the dps forums just specifically for this part of the fight. The most important point here is obey, your pet's damage there on the right targets is quite big. Use bio and miasma on the far away targets from the melee + set the pet on the far away targets. Use bio on the closest targets with a follow up of r2 spam. I save my stacks for when adds are spawning all together since painflare, also it depends on how you rotate your cds. I use tridisaster on the last 4 adds since more hp to burn + bane to get as much dps as I can. Don't restrict yourself on saving cds if you are having problems getting through this phase, everyone will adjust eventually and people will do more dps. Also use shadowflare on the outer edge of the living liquid when swiftcast or on the beginning of the adds phase. One more point, use miasma 2 when you are being targeted by fuerrofuild + set pet.

Pet CRT is done, Dervy. Unless you want Ifrit as well or more/higher CRT values.

It looks like Crit is definitely not 100% more superior than Determination! They're both equally as good and a "Desired" set for an A4S Summoner "BIS" Example would look like this, where you're not stacking crit, unlike the Bard, Monk, Dragoon and chances are, the Ninja. http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/RH5F

    Definitely not what I expected.

If the Summoners relationship between Critical Hit Rating, Enhanced Pet Proc chance, and the consequential DoT clipping, along with the buggyness of Pets were not investigated and looked into accordingly, we'd be looking into a set more like this: http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/RH5H

Not only that, Pets have a lower base Crit, 4.5%, compared to 5% for the Caster.

I'm definitely surprised by the results myself. Now I've got all this sorted, I need to fix minor bugs with my model and I should have weights soon!

The weights I'm currently looking at are:

    INT: 1.000
    DET: 0.143
    CRT: 0.149
    WD: 8.622
    SS: 0.111

    Item Budgets:

    DET: 23*0.143 = 3.289
    CRT: 24*0.149 = 3.576
    SS: 24*0.111 = 2.664

I can finally have a little rest. Thanks for your work guys!

Note: Before people get carried away, these aren't official weights. These are rough estimates of what the final result will be once I've finished work on my model.

If you mean food buff and int potion then yes but raging strikes or dread stance not affect at all.

Like Sunako mentioned, pets receive food and int potion buffs but do not receive character buffs ie Raging Strikes, DWT or oeven other party buffs like Battle Litany (could be wrong about Litany).

They receive buffs that are applied to the target itself (TA and Foe's to name a few).

Pets get battle litany if they are in range.

Thank you for clarifying! Was not sure about that one (not around any DRGs)!
