Sorry if this is basic knowledge. Skillspeed affects Ifrit and co, correct?

I've got a, uh... Not a fully functional Summoner Model at the moment. Still missing Pet values and I have no clue how many of you SMNs are still book-whacking... But for a Book-Whacker, it looks like CRT > SS > CRT.

For a non book-whacker.... SS >> CRT >>>> DET... As I said, it's not fully functional and I'm missing Pet Values but this is... uh... Interesting, to say the least. Biggest issue is sorting out the Summoner Rotation. I'm suck at 72s (lol). I'm not using swiftcasts yet, as I need to figure out a way to get swiftcasts to work...

Spell/Skillspeed. It's the same thing. I'm just so used to calling "that stat which lowers our GCD/Cast times and influences our dot" Skillspeed.

Well, Ifrit and Titan used to be affected by Skillspeed since their skills were classified as Weapon Skills but 3.0 changed those to Spells so now Spellspeed with affect them. Do note that the tooltips don't have the recasts updated but the cooldown timers (when you hover over the skill) do reflect it.

Spell Speed does affect the damage of Ifrit and co though I'm not sure to what extent (have done 0 testing on this one) - I can begin gathering data on this for you, just curious what all you'd need data wise.

Clarification on the book whacking? You posted CRT > SS > CRT? Which one was supposed to be DET (if any?) I think most people are trying to book whack on extremely stationary fights (Faust) and abandoning it when it's not feasible. Not sure how often this is happening overall.

Let me know if I can help anymore, Dervy! The SS winning over CRT and DET is incredibly interesting, I wouldn't have guessed that!

In order to receive the effects of the caster's spell speed attribute, all pet actions excluding auto-attacks have been changed to elemental damage.

This was all the notes ever said about Spell Speed and pets. Not sure how reliable this is as I never take patch notes as the gospel. But I don't believe I've seen any research on there interaction between SS and Pets since the expansion (cloud be wrong).
