Not sure how Savage will be for A1 but SMN should allow for one melee to stay on the boss the whole time.

Bane/Pain when adds spawn is instant aggro followed up by DF when in pos is usually instant death for both adds.

You cant do that in savage. There are four meteors so each DPS must take one add. Or you can have one of the healers do it I guess but the fight is already very heal intensive.

1180 is very strong, do you have a parse screenshot of your kill?

Still haven't killed, we only got it to 40% then our tank had to go. I will post the parse when we kill it.(Hopefully if I don't die)

Thanks for the tips. For multi dotting, is better to use Tri-D on opposite target or saving it for DWT? I haven't done normal A1 much since I've gotten lucky on the drops. I start savage tomorrow, and was wondering if Garuda is the pet for this fight, for easy swapping to the adds.

What you want to do is have all dots >15 seconds when you go into DWT - this is impossible on 2 targets, so you'll want to dot one, DWT and tri-d the other, then spend every GCD on ruin III.

Any thoughts on Esoteric tomes purchases? How relevant do you guys think is weapon upgrade from Hive tome vs, Asuran Dogi of casting to Esoteric body?

What food is everyone using? so far Sohm Al Tart HQ myself.

Well Weapon Damage trumps everything still I think so the weapon would likely be your first purchase. I'm using Baked Pipira Pira HQ cause that crit (and more leeway with accuracy if I need it) but I was debating about the Sohm Al Tart HQ myself. Since it's such a lower level than the Baked Pipira Pira, I haven't figured out if it would be worth it.

Hoo boy A2 is tuned pretty tight. Hard fight! Wish I was a better SMN though, but it's kinda laid out when you wanna use your CDs.

Tips from noob A2 SMN:

- Don't use crap on first set except one Bane + Garuda AoE
- Second set I would spend 3D + Bane + Pain + DWT + Rouse + Spur + Enkindle + Deathflare
- 3rd set, Shadow Flare as they get grouped up, then DoT + Contagion + Bane. Could save stuff for here but prefer it on wave 4.
- 4th set, DWT + full AoE.
- 5th set is where the DPS check of sorts comes into play. You have to kill the soldiers in a somewhat timely manner but not really if they just get stunned later than sooner. I would do a full set on the big tanks, then when they're grouped Bane off the little guys (the hitbox for big guy > little is terrible), then get a RS + DWT 3D on tank and Bane/Deathflare. Good DPS should have the second tank at 50% or lower before next phase if you yourself do it right.
- 6th set, you can Bane off the big tank unto the Hardhat if it gets pulled in, set Hard on Obey, then multi-DoT the other set. Save some stuff for next phase, that's the DPS check of the fight besides enrage.
- 7th set, get them all grouped up, RS + DWT + Contagion + everything you possibly have except LB. Goal is 2 down by next phase, 3 with a better comp/gear than us.
- 8th set, just multi-DoT here, it's a lax phase, just Obey the Hards and then multi during offtime rather than Ruins.
- 9th set ... hoo boy. You will be LB2ing here in current gear, this is without question. Get a full RS + DWT + Contagion Bane off with a Deathflare, then BE CAREFUL of the AoE, it will oneshot you if you LB2 during it and you don't dodge (I found this out 2X, much sadness, seems to pick caster I swear). Otherwise all you got.

3D seems best for refresh during 5 stack + Bane, probably a better use than saving 3D for DWT or anything like that. Hard freakin' turn. Good luck, fellow SMNs.

Edit: 521 ACC produced zero misses, which is pretty low ACC IMO.

Got mini'd but I was at around 1160 before I did after second jump.. Also no AOEing the adds past the first set because it was too risky and I pulled both a couple times :/

I wish I can provide a parse but I'm a PS4 player. In A1 Savage I did 1300 on Faust was was doing 1100 on Oppressor on average. I am using Sohm Al Tart HQ. My rotation below:

Bio II > Miasma > Bio > Painflare + Fester > Ruin II > Swiftcast > Shadowflare > Rouse + Spur > Ruin II > Enkindle + Fester > Ruin II > Aetherflow > Ruin II + Xpot > Dreadwyrm Trance + Raging Strikes + Tri-Disaster > Miasma II + Contagion > Fester > Ruin III x3 > Fester + Deathflare

Any thoughts? I know it's far from optimized.

I'd just give the melee who picked the other one about 2s before I Baned. Worked every time. I think your partner's just being slow unless you were jumping the gun.

He was, but I didn't really feel like arguing since I just wanted the clear and the dps loss is kind of small so w/e. I will do it next week and hopefully not get mini'd again.
