Also guys what are your thoughts on mch vs brd in the party for smn magical resistance debuffs damage boost? is it almost the same? feels like bard gives a better boost s:

MCH will basically never give the boost on a regular basis because it stems from the AoE turret getting Hypercharged, far inferior to the ST turret in most encounters. MCH is gonna by and large be using their physical resistance down Hypercharge, so don't count on it happening often if you play with a MCH.

Also yes it's much weaker. BRD's default is 10%, BV is 20%, and they can play for a minute at a time. MCH is 5% and that's it, only usable if they would want to every 2 minutes for 10s.

Which pet you wanna use in a dungeon also depends on who's with you in the party and what comp it is, also, what's their dps output in general. Well, I care about this stuff to make it easier on myself and the party. s:

Edit: radiant shield scales with dex and str only i think, since nin and bard do get higher on physical damage than casters for physical aoes and cleaves.

That's because they see "Ifrit does better DPS" and don't stop to see how or why or what context. Or just don't care.

In dummy fight there is not that much difference between garuda and ifrit anymore what it was before. Ifrit utility now depends heavily how you can utilize radiant shield. Or that it is from my testings. Correct me if i m wrong.

So i'm testing a lot of stuff with radiant shield with a friend:

1- Radiant shield will reflect all physical damage ranged or melee depending on str/dex(scales with those stats, anything slashing, piercing, or blunt). So for example titan stomps are a good example or even ravana's stomps. So x4 stomps = 4x400 total. 50 potency per person.
2- When you are under the effect of stoneskin or galvanize and are taking 0 damage you are still reflecting physical damage. So basically it's the damage outgoing from the enemy being done back instead of being reflected from you.
3- Buffs affect radiant shield so b4b raging strikes etc all buffs the reflected damage.
4- Radiant shield is unlimited on the amount of mobs so if you pull the whole dungeon and activate radiant shield everything hit you will be hitting themselves repeatedly until it falls off. So on tanks that's pulling a lot of trash that's a really good dps boost (if most of the damage suffered is physical).


I know some of this information is known but just to confirm!
edit: it's 450 including ifrit so not 400 i think, with eos maybe it's 500

Also to add to what Yuni wrote, going through ACT there might be troubles with the program tracking Radiant Shield correctly based on a couple of Ravana fights. Timing it with stomps and whatnot the amount of hits Radiant Shield does just doesn't add up if you have a look at the individual players, atleast it doesn't add up for my parses at all.
