Thats basically it. Save your Tridisaster for the second Moon (the first one useually goes down faster due to CDs). Use Ruin IIs, and Painflares on the smaller butterflies.I need some help with add phases, particularly in Ravana EX. I've only been playing for the past 3 weeks since I came back after taking a very long break from launch, so I don't have much experience with anything other than regular dungeons with easy mechanics. How do you guys handle add phases such as Ravana's? There are so many that spawn, they're moderately spread out, need to die fast, etc. I try to save my 3D and a fester for them and then go into DWT, but when all that's done I'm just left to spamming ruin 2 and it does pitiful damage to them.

Just got to 60, and boy, the new optimal opener will take me a while to figure out.
Oh and Avalen I updated my thread with thoughts on new skills and more data if you want to copy/paste it. How's your opener? I'm not sure pre pull Spur/Rouse best way to go.

Dear fellow SMNs)) What pet do u usually use now? It seems that Ifrit is still №1 in dps as in still has more ponetcy on skills and its auto...Garuda is nice to extend buffed DOTs, but is she worth it?

Deathflare is the last to unlock! Thank you square for making this class fun again. I'm loving it more than Ninja right now. The ruin 3 crits under trance are insane!
Garuda is nice for her superior enkindle burst but it's not really needed. Plus you lose out on dps by having her on obey. If you put her on sic she just spends time wasting contagion instead of doing damage. I use Ifrit always on trash mobs for the AoE and radiant shield. It's sooooooo good. Garuda on bosses just because contagion is excellent for extending dots and multitasking with mechanics. Plus you can run around the room dotting up all adds (when they're reallly spaced out) while Garuda enkindles one under rouse and spur. If time is precious of course otherwise I save her enkindle for the boss.

Garuda lines up well with DT > 3D. However, its not a big deal.
It is merely 10% more effective than it was at level 50.
However, great for trash up to bosses, to save you a bane you can use for painflare instead.

I still use Garuda for Dreadwyrm Trance w/ Contagion. It just seem a lil easier to handle.
Imo garuda makes it easier with contagion (you spend less time refreshing) but I think ifrit yield more dps.
Yes pls, ppl going like its x8 cause cleave when the healers and casters busy with magical damage/ healing the party.
Anyway ive noticed so many angry bards and blms since smn damage is now somewhat closer to melee, which is what blm was back before expansion. Now that smn has gained their right to have better pets and aoe damage which shouldve been back in 2.0, people just realized what this job could accomplish. I mean trying to get the max dps output is a challenge so maybe blms now can have a taste of complexity and think about when to use their cds since they just some instead sitting still and demanding top caster dps, i am fully aware that they are on par with smn because a strong blm can be smart enough to pull high numbers. blm is like a filter of good and bad dps, not everyone can faceroll. As for bards, i do think they need to fix their wm its really degrading to have a bard cast, like i do appreciate the concept of charging shots but couldnt they think of it as charging stack that somewhat buff damage for a duration of time. I feel bad asking our bard for foes when they have to sing wm here and there, thats like 6 secs of singing with 0 damage s:
