S-so SS is the way to go now?! Figures there's practically no gear with both crit and ss this tier.Weights from Dervy: https://dervyxiv.wordpress.com/stat-weights/

In light of this here's a little bis I whipped up, it will be better with an upgraded anima weapon with crit and ss
http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/WV7Q
I looked it up and it nets you a total stat weight of 3068,17. If you would switch the buffood to priestly omelette and the head and shoes to Alexandrian, you would achieve a stat weight of 3074,513 even though you will have 635 accuracy then.
I think right now http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/WXPX is BiS for Summoner. If someone finds an improvement .. let me know![]()
...according to the old stat weights. It seems ariyala hasn't updated with Dervy's 3.4 weights for smn where spell speed is slightly better than det.
And Neela I have crit/ss on my anima too, I'm just glad its paying off!
No, not right, I changed the stat weights in Ariyala myself. It's according to the new stat weights! You can change the weight in the best in slot solver yourself![]()

funny how things are changing... i always gone for crit/ss especially with smn and brd.
so i did it with the ilvl 240 Anima on both cls - not less people laughed about that and asked "why? where is the det?!"
well... now with the latest stat weight statistic all lemmings are following the white rabbit again without any doubts...
Just smiling about the whole BiS bs and all the discussions bout it...
mh on the one hand I get you, on the other hand ... the stats aren't really what makes the fun in the game. You don't go to a math class and say "maybe 2+2 is 4 but if find 5 much more fun so I will calculate with that from now on" ... it's just based on facts. And the discussion is of course about what is most effective. But if you do your job in the group well there's no reason someone else should bitch about your secondary stats. And to them you can stick it now
I just don't see any benefit in weakening your equipment on purpose :P
actually i really like you - one of the less who's openminded for different opinions
well you are right stats alone won't bring the "fun" - but f.e. the parry drk, i loved to trigger reprisal more often than the cd allows me to use it. creating this situation is like running around with an additional permanent def cd. though my tank lost dps - it's fun to play like that. i can't deny that there is a lot of try and error - ya indeed more errors than success but coming up with ideas like these is actually a thing i call "fun". trying things others won't even think of.
yeah talking about BiS im absolutely aware, there are more effective ways to increase dps but as long as my guild and static is fine with my way ill stick to it jupp. sometimes im a bit sad that we can't get deeper in "builds" itself, like skilltrees or stats which would rly make a difference in the end. but yeah thats not the concept of this game : /
hmm underdog feeling ;3
cheers
Neela ^^
