Soooo if you aren't having the problem with rmt spamming you like other people are why do you feel like you should make an account to be rude to people with legit issues...?

Implying I made this account to react in this thread, neat but no. I made this account to discuss things on the forum but instead I see people spamming it about Rmt spam. See where I'm going? Both parties involved are being annoying and instead of simply ignoring it or make a separate chat tag you guys proceed to QQ about in on the forums. The devs have more important things to do and they actually do take actions against rmt lol.

Yes, lets stop making complaints threads about issues and instead ignore the problems so that SE can ignore them with us alot easier.

If thats the case then maybe we should stop complaining alltogheter, perhaps we shouldnt have complained about lack of votekick option in dungeons.

Or never complained about withdrawal spam.

Or some of the other stuff that SE HAS fixed because enough people were unsatisfied and complained about.

And to those that arnt affected yet somehow still find the need to tell others to "deal with it", your words dosnt mean anything since you dont have to deal with the stuff we have to.

its not a problem in my server tho i get 2 a week at most lol mayb the occasional bot friend spam but blacklist solves that problem.. odin doesnt even have constant spam in any of the cities uldah used to be horrible... few months back 20 in 5 seconds on shout but now not one :3 shows SE are solving the problem people just want it solved faster then its possible

Exaggerate much? When I go into a city I LITERALLY get an RMT /tell every 5 minutes

When I teleport into a main city like limsa, I get 1 friend request and 5 tells in ONE minute if I don't have busy on xD They aren't trying to be discreet anymore either. There's still the usual jibberish names but most have some form of the website in the character name and park right near the main mb's shouting and queing up for duty, for everyone to see.

I'll keep posting about the rmt problem as long as it exists, op. We all pay for this game every month and that entitles us to voice opinions and concerns about it. If you don't like that, I don't really care.

They are "solving the problem" because your particular server isn't highly affected? My name starts with an "A" and I'm on Excalibur. I get so many RMT tells when I'm not in busy status that I wouldn't even be able to notice if I got a legit tell. They aren't solving ANYTHING. Their counter-measures against mass tells are so pathetic that they were circumvented almost immediately. I really enjoy the "JBNf" "aDCA" "DTHd" at the end of every tell, getting around that rad filter that can't seem to notice when someone sends a 99% identical tell to 100s or 1000s of people every couple minutes.

If SE can't even figure out how to filter tells to where RMT don't spam the hell out of you, they deserve every single person who quits the game, which, btw, is taken almost exclusively from their target demographic: folks who never played MMOs before. If you never played MMOs before, or barely have, and you log in after creating your character to a ton of spam tells, do you get a warm fuzzy feeling about continuing to play? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHA. TOTALLY FIXING IT BRO, RIGHT!?!?!?!

You know, we wouldn't even have this problem if we didn't have JP-specific servers. If everyone around the world was on the same servers, like in FFXI, SE would have figured out how to filter out the tells by now, because Japanese people would be annoyed with them.

RMT complaint thread in disguise, I like it. The simple fact is that spamming begets spamming. RMT spam the game, people spam forums asking for RMT spam to be addressed, other people spam forums asking people to quit spamming. It's like a loud room where everyone is screaming "shut up!" at the top of their lungs. Maybe SE should revoke our speaking privileges for a while. No in game chatting, no forum conversations, just a 2-month quiet time. Might be the only way we'll get peace and quiet anymore.
