I get more impressed each time I watch the new Heavensward Benchmark.

I've been playing mmos since Everquest and every time a new one comes out I've enjoyed seeing the advancement of graphics and game quality.

But after experiencing the Heavensward Benchmark...wow! This is it folks. SE has brought us the most advanced and beautiful world offered by any mmo. Its the best there is.

This game will set the bar so high in mmos that I can see other developers throwing their hands in the air in defeat.

I have to agree. Back when I played WoW for the first time I kinda felt the same way. I specially loved the elven forests and how magical and beautiful they were.
But after playing this game when I look at WoW (or any other MMORPG), they look horrible.

I just hope the vast world space has it's uses aside from spread out FATEs that become barron in a month.

Dont worry the PS4 will look fantastic. They have already said multiple times that we aren't even using the PS4 to full capacity with this game (ps3 limitations).

I really enjoyed Tera, and think that it looks better than XIV in a lot of ways, but a lot of its zones are more form than substance. I was really disappointed by the amount of barriers that you come up against in that game, just because zones were designed to have a bunch of set pieces and to look bigger than they actually are.

Also the animations in this game trump Tera by a long shot. It's full of so much life and charm that Tera really lacks.

Tera's races are more diverse, though, which I really wish we could have here.

To the OP's point, I agree that this game is very nice looking, and has a ton of charm. I think that MMOs will come out that are prettier from a tech perspective before too long, but I don't know that a lot of devs can really capture the same charm that the XIV has. The 6 races, the monsters, the weather patterns, the zones, the story and the characters all add so much life to this game that I really feel like most MMOs lack.

Everyone has an opinion. Imoye stated his/her opinion, along side a valid fact (the textures ARE crap). What you posted wasn't even an opinion, just a personal attack for no reason. Then again its the internet.

And yes this game does look good, yes I would love better textures still.
