How's Balmung?

After deciding to create a tiny lalafel tank I found an open spot in Balmung and decided to take advantage of it. I took a nap after 5 mins and was getting a little more information on why this server is popular?

It's a legacy server, and it's also the unofficial RP server. I think that's about it though tbh, other than it having a high population already.

In addition to being the server in the NA that's #4 for most t13 clears. So we have one of the most robust end games there is outside of Japan.
We have a very active party finder. 29 parties at the time of this writing.
From people who play here and on other servers I've been told our low to mid end items on the AH are more fleshed out that other servers. Can't confirm it myself but that's what I've been told.

I just went to Balmung to be with friends. Not much for the RP but people sure are nice. Lot more roe's for sure. Yes I do see lots of people clearing content more than my old server. Oh and hunts have become popular again. As for bots. Oooo they are there I've reported dozens everyday. They just show up during the slow morning hours.

I keep running into random naked couples ERPing right next to me and it's getting to be quite annoying..
I don't know how you deal with a server full of those people.

Its not really an issue yet it is at the same time. Most of the time erp is corded off in the Quicksand, Bronze Lake and the housing areas and is mostly done in party chat so its not that big an issue. That said however he is not wrong that there is a sizable erp population here and they can sneak up on you as in you become their friend not knowing tjen they blindside you with. There is also erp style harrasment here. I could be a good little balmung player and say its peaches, and I do stand by it being a great server. But there is good and bad in everything and you should be informed.

In all honesty, the RP that I saw the short while I was there when I first started playing didn't seem all that intrusive. I never stumbled into any ERP myself, but I can imagine how uncomfortable that would be. Though, like I said, I wasn't there long.

I'm on Balmung. Never been on any other server. Balmung has a lot of RP going, population is high which is great b/c the world is full of adventurers doing FATES,lvling up, etc..

Balmung is the Moon Guard of FFXIV. Stay away from Goldshire.
