Making a quick profit from crafting

I don't expect many to answer but I just wanted to know.

I am semi new to crafting and can craft 3 star with most crafts. I've been struggling to make significant profit. I hear of some players that have 10-20m gil, while myself I have at most 500-800k.

    So my question:

Where is the best place to make money/profit from crafting on a limited budget? What works for you?

Check marketboard and search there which positions that you can to craft and have/can to get maths to increase your profit. Check sale history. Then try to sell. Everyone chooses own way what to sell. And if your level is less than 30 - don't be afraid to sell nq, it happens. I purchaced my first small house selling nq only - i had all my crafts at 20-25 lvl, it was enough to get some mil of gil to do this.

It takes money to make money. The only thing holding you back is your lack of a bank roll. And probably the fact that you don't have 4 retainers.

All servers are different. NQ 3* jewelry takes forever to sell but has a big mark up on my server.

I have noticed, most of crafters are focusing on 3-4 star items now, there is a major shortage of crafter AF gears, they are sold anywhere from 23k upward to 85k, they are cheap and easy to make. or you can craft 2 and 3 star NQ mats for lazy 4 star crafters.

I've probably made more money making hq dow/dom and doth/dotl gears from 11-45 than i have on 1,2 and 3 star stuff.Seriously,i feel as though getting everything to 50 and the costly melds and all the token turn ins has been a giant waste of time and gil,my advice, diversify into many diff HQ(which should be easy peasy for you now on nq mats) gears in the level range i mentioned,i usually had at least 3 retainers filled with 60+ different hq gear items at anywhere from 10k-25k,so there was always stuff being sold around prime time...or you could just do what i did last night, throw a rage fit and dump crafting into the recycle bin,put on some 45-49 gear and go spirit bond, the payoff is so much better.

There's a lot of money in Desynths. Crafting itself isn't much of a money maker, there's only so much gear you can sell, desynth allows you to sell the materials at profit, there's no shortage of demand for those.

Make some 45-50 crafting gear, and quick synth the level 40+ quick selling materials while spiritbonding the gear. Materia is profit, many of the items are profit (felt, wool thread, raptor leather, electrum ingots are often profitable). Sell in small stacks of 5-20 or so and they will go fairly fast.
