I'm not really annoyed by RMT. I have chat sounds off, would have turned them off anyways because they're very annoying.
I barely get any friend requests, at worst I get 1-2 a day. Mind you this is on Gilgamesh, I do not have /busy on.

The spam is not nearly as bad as it was during launch, now that was disruptive.

No, 100% NO. When everyone uses that block, it will cripple the community, especially the new players. And it won't even work. RMTs will just go back to shouting a lot more, which will make things even worse. Just stop with these band-aid ideas, we need a permanent solution.

Players are already turning the chime for /tells off and filtering them out of their chat tabs altogether, which is still gonna affect the new players. At least if we could filter out strangers, we can at least send /tells to friends without worrying about spam.

The adhesive bandage is already there, some of us are just asking for cool ninja turtle and barbie designs on them to help ease the pain.

It should at least work for trial accounts. Trials are already massively crippled on what they can do anyway; what's a few more things?
