


If a SMN is high on the enmity list, then either everyone else is using enmity-reduction skills or the SMN massively outgears and outplays them. A solid chunk of the SMN's damage and enmity generation is attributed to their egi.
Also, as far as using the enmity list as a DPS indicator, it actually can be impossible to regain your "spot" after reducing your enmity if the DPS are otherwise closely matched in damage output and uptime.
