    Gold Spammers

FFS, are you going to do anything about these people? The tells are ridiculous.

Unless you disable tells or set status to busy you get 50 tells per hour, each from some new name so blacklisting is just an exercise in futility.

Why can't you pay some people to play the game and insta ban each spam account they get a tell from?

There are many threads like this. The community is doing its best to reach out to Square Enix about the issue. Unfortunately, we seem to mostly be falling on deaf ears, but we are still trying.

/busy, although a terrible solution, may help you keep your sanity.

As in all MMO games, RMT is always a cancer. Its like whack a mole, they can keep banning, but more will just pop up. I just tune them out.

There are better ways of dealing with them. I've never played a game before this that had so many. Even WoW dealt with them way better than this game does. I thought seeing a couple shouts was annoying until I started this game...

All MMOs have to struggle with this problem. The difference is that most of them actually put some effort into doing so, and keep the levels of RMT down to a barely perceptible minimum. SE on the other hand, despite putting together a "task force" to deal with assorted types of cheating and botting, hasn't bothered to put any tools into the game at all to prevent it. They're basically just letting the RMT run wild, as no other major game does.

    Restrictions!!

Everytime I get a friend request from one of these gilsellers I noticed they are brand new characters (level 1) I believe the game needs some restrictions for new accounts a level requirement to lvl30 or maybe after 1st month of subscription to unlock /shout or /tell will help, maybe not to eliminate the problem definetely will be alot less spam on in the chat window.

I don't think that would really work. I've been noticing all the level 50 BLMs that pop up on my server with either nonsense names or the same last name, and it's quite obvious that they're bots. So they apparently have found a way around the level requirement, which is rather troubling if you consider that. Would they've been able to level themselves up? I could see running a handful of bots to 50 but when I see these clumps, there's always like 5 or 10 of them and they all have different names. I think I would've noticed hundreds of bots running around on my server. It would be too odd.

I wish there was something like a Whitelist option.
Disable all tells, unless theyre a friend or in my whitelist.

No, I bet you're thinking of Eve Online, who did it in a limited self-regulating fashion. You can't directly buy ISK (the in-game currency) for real money. at least not legally (even with this program, Eve has gold sellers). What you CAN buy for real money is a "PLEX". A PLEX can is an in-game item that can be redeemed for a month's play time that costs a little more than subscribing for a month. You can sell this to other players for ISK just like any other item. So what you have is good players who make enough ISK that they can buy PLEX from the bad players and play while paying no real-life money. And you have the bad players who can turn real-life money into ISK by selling PLEX to the good players.
