Personally I like the Evenstar set more than the Heavensward one you posted.
I got no BLM myself but I've seen plenty of them with that outfit so I know full well how it looks.
I like the whole Jester/Freak Show Conductor/Mad Hatter feel that outfit gives, to me atleast.

Just wanted to ask, what does buying/not buying the collectors edition have to do with the AF2 gear? It's not like getting the collectors or not affects the gear at all, it'll be there whether you buy the collectors or not.

Reread what I said at the end of the post. AF gear shouldn't look absurd.

Eh, give it a different hat and the gear isn't so bad.

I main Smn and personally while the new AF2 for Smn doesn't look bad, it doesn't exactly fit my personal tastes so I'll more than likely be glamouring over it. It's really not a big deal. I think you need to put your big boy pants on and just deal with it the same way I will when the time comes.

I see you have no BLM or SMN to 50, meaning you didn't have to equip the Evenstar outfit for the caster. Go ask a 50 BLM if he still has the set to put it on then come back and talk to me. There is really no difference between the 2 genders for casters. This is how it looks. This is why I made this thread.

Not true. The female version had a panties/fishnet combo and a weird tutu that the male version did not have.

Glamor your items
This is just the AF2 gear, there will still be the Law and Esoterics gear to be earned as well as dungeon drops and mid tier raid and Alexander raid.
Play a different class

I just wish we could dye our AF gear properly. I like the weapon, it actually looks pretty cool and like others said, this is the Female version. While I don't expect major changes to the Male version, there will be some differences. If this one gear set is all that's preventing you from buying the game, then you don't really want to play it anyway. Sad to see you quit over gear. Good luck though.

I agree that most of the AF2 Sets are... pretty bad / ugly.

But looking back at 2.0 through now, think about how many NEW Sets of Gear you went through, and in 3.0 how many you're going to get? I was out of my BLM AF1 before 2.0 launched (Legacy).

While it's sad that our official "Artifact Armor 2.0" that kicks off Heavensward is so... bizarre / ugly, and you wish they retained more of a tribute to the classic "FF BLM" look, sadly, with Vertical Progression the way it is, pretty much all BLM will be out of their AF2 soon enough, and by the end of the 3.XX series? No one would be rocking AF2 except new players (or those that just glamour).
