    Derp tank trolls

Currently leveling my Paladin. I havent really noticed any trouble inside the leveling dungeons until now. Cutter Cry seems to be riddled with trolls that are there to make it difficult. I know Im not the best tank in the world but im not the worst either. If I'm spamming Flash and everyone is attacking every mob on all pulls, then its prolly not my fault when i lose aggro. Using Regen on me as im running up for a pull will only make it impossible for me, at my ilevel, to secure hate. Does anyone else notice tanks getting trolled more than other classes? Or is it just me?

Low level dungeons usually means new players who don't understand things, not necessarily trolls.

Considering a lot of cutters cry consists of 4 or more mobs, whether intended to pull together or not, can make it difficult for news to pinpoint exactly which mob you're attacking, not like they do it even when there is only 2.

As for the healer, I was in amdapor keep with a first time healer. They kept putting regeneration up, and I'd take it down. They'd throw it up in the middle of a pull, and while I'm a great tank, scrambling for mobs while dps are attacking them, making them go everywhere is not fun. At the end, I almost raged at the healer, I was fed up with the constant regen, so instead, I asked if the knew why they were taking hate. They did not. Nobody had ever explained to this player about how aggro and healing go hand in hand. At the end, I advised them to find a healer to mentor them.

    Sometimes, people just don't know

For Cutter's Cry, if you're leveling Paladin, you're still having to make due with no Shield Oath save for maybe one run of the dungeon, while everyone else has seen some good upgrades to their damage potential. That could be effecting things as well.

Pre-40 Paladin Tanking is sorta like....when you are trying to run into a wall, thinking you'll eventually break through to the other side.

Post-40 Paladin Tanking is when you FINALLY break that POS wall and start taunting it, laughing at it, only for a new pack of much more vile, well-learned trolls to be sitting on the other side.

I went through this when leveling my PLD, Shield Oath makes a world of a difference in that dungeon, in both establishing enmity and reducing damage received by the mildly amount of mobs you find there for a dungeon of that level. My recommendation is that you either stick with Qarn farm until you're level 40 and safely try Cutter's or wander around Coertas and fate farm there, since fate groups are always up in Party Finder, it shouldn't too hard to find a group and grind levels until you hit 40.

Do you mean people AoEing? Cause that's actually efficient if you're fighting 3 or more enemies, and kind of just something you have to deal with (although it gets easier as you get more STR and shield oath and such).

Especially before you have shield oath, on pulls of 3+ mobs, mark 1 or 2. Flash twice. If you have AOE in the group (BLM and SMN for example), then expect to rotate your Halone combo around to keep hate. If you have mostly single target DD, they should follow the marks. Two single target DD on separate mobs from 100% to 0% will likely rip hate off a PLD without shield oath. Mark the mobs. That should clue them in.
