Crystal Tower gated behind fates?

Is there an easier way than waiting 50+ minutes for a couple fates to pop? On top of that I don't even think that the "waves" one is even soloable....

Am I doing something wrong?

EDIT: I think I was dragging 329432978 mobs behind me, so had that not been the case I probably could have soloed.

The only one I remember having trouble with by myself ( and chocobo ) was the one in Coerthas.... the others I solo'd just fine, and I don't remember waiting too long for any of them. Ten minutes, tops.

Edit: I think I was about iLVL.. I want to say maybe 70? Just, btw.

The CT FATEs are special and have their own timers. They pop up every 5-10 minutes, not 50. FATEs can be solo'd but only if the previous one that popped had few people involved (FATEs scale based on the number of players participating in the prior).

If it's still hard, just grab a few friends or FC mates.

Two weeks ago when helping our FC member through these FATEs, we waited in Coerthas for over half an hour. The other group waited even longer. So they do not spawn every 5-10 minutes. They do not.

Rigth after servers were up with patch 2.1, ppl waitet up to 5 hrs for one fate.

The Coerthas fate can take over 2 hours to spawn. It's also impossible to solo, and depending on who you'd bring; hard/impossible to duo.

Please explain to me then how I waited 1 hour and 15 minute when I did it a few weeks ago and camped it out 45 mins with an FC mate LAST WEEK

Yeah, the timers were buffed by SE because they were a key element for that quest. I helped a friend last night and it took us 1 hour to get all four of them, because we were unlucky and we didn't make it to the ones in Southern Thanalan and Coerthas. Remember that there's a limit in the number of FATEs that can pop in a certain zone. So, if nobody is doing them, you might do them or wait them to expire.

Though it did take one of them 20 minutes to pop for me even though there was a fate farming party in the area and fates where dropping left and right.... :P IDK about this 5 to 10 minute thing! :P
