So. I'm gonna be straight up, I'm ripping this out of a game I once played called RuneScape.
Joinable linkshells. The idea is to have a linkshell slot, either "zero" or "nine".
Let me continue with a few points.
- Anyone can join or leave, depending on the owner's settings.
- The members list is not finite or permanent. Your spot resets each time you sign out.
- Ranking is determined by the owner, and to have a rank you must be a friend of said owner.
- Activation for this lnikshell is not required, though you can enable and disable it as the owner, in your settings.
- You can determine who can join, talk and kick with the ranks.
- It's always there, even when the owner is offline. Players can join to hang out for anything they need.
- While you can invite others to the lnikshell, a invite is not required, they can join as they please
- People Blacklisted cannot join.
PROS:
- It will virtually smash any need for a personal linkshell within your 8 linkshell slots(Some of us have one, I certainly do.)
- It will connect friends and really show how much mutual friends you have with others, depending on who joins who's chat.
- Will be better suited for flexable events such as RP, FATE grouping, connecting full parties, market trade, community events, a hub for things like gathering and crafting.
CONS:
- More data for each character, more recources for SE to use and money to spend.
- Low demand. A lot of the chats will likely not be used, as there will be one available to everyone.
- Re-joinable. Many might find it annoying that their spot in the lnikshell resets whenever they sign out. If they DC and it fills up, they may just be out of luck when they try to join back.
In the end, though. It's just a personal chat and anyone and everyone has access to it. You don't have to wait around for a invite, don't have to worry about people you dislike joining
