Could do with a bit of help with understanding Ceremony...

Heya, i know there are more threads on this but none really answer my questions.

me and my partner tried to get married (couldn't, we think it was a bug but not sure) i just need some help on understanding what to do when we come to reserve a slot again on Friday as things were rather unclear.

1. When reserving your time for the Ceremony, i know you both need to be in a party but do both players need to pick the time and date or just one of us? (She is 2 hours ahead of me)

2. when you reserve the time is it local or server time? my time is the same as the server so if we both need to select the time individually to receive the blank invites i have to know if she needs to pick for example: 10am while i pick 8am (i know the invitations are in local time)

3. apart from the wedding attire and the promise bracelets is there anything else that needs to be equipped or at least in your inventory? (like blank/written invitations)

You just need the promise bracelets, you don't need to get married in the wedding attire.

I'm pretty sure you both need to pick the same time. I went by server time when I picked, since I'm -7 hours and my partner was on server time.
I want to say it lists it in your local time; I remember we had to convert a lot of time before we picked the right one that was technically the same.

Only 1 person has to register a time-slot, but you will need to be in a party with your partner in order to be able to register the time-slot. The Time-slots will be mentioned in your local time.

Once you’ve registered a time-slot, you and your partner will get a stack of 40 Blank invitations each. When you give/send one of those Blank Invitations to someone you want to invite for the ceremony, the date and time of the ceremony will be shown in in their Local time, once they view the tooltip. So, when your partner looks at the Blank Invitation, it will show the Ceremony time in his/her Local time.

Before registering a time-slot for the Ceremony, you can enter the chapel and talk to the Ceremony NPC there to select a Ceremony Style (depending on the type of Ceremony you’ve selected/bought from the Mog Station, not all options might be available for you).




Only 1 person HAS to do it, but you can both apply your own preferences. You enter the Chapel for the actual ceremony, you will have to select if you want to use your preferences, or the ones from your partner.

Be sure to have the Bracelet equipped when you talk to the Ceremony NPC’s. You don’t have to be in your wedding attire before entering the Chapel. You have plenty of time to change inside, since you will be placed in a personal waiting room. Once you’re ready, ring the bell to start the ceremony (as well as to progress to the next part of the ceremony).

Ah so it looks like we did do it right the first time (by luck), guess it was a bug that caused it to be postponed. it seemed a little odd that she wasn't given the option to enter and i was. At least until 30mins after the auto-cancellation then it finally allowed her to select the option

and thanks for the clarification on the reservation times too got it memorized now so i don't forget it. Makes me feel so much better now i know it wasn't me that screwed things up ^_^
