Lip colors

I just want to be able to have darker lip colors for my hyur, they all look washed out and barely visible while miqo'te get the dark lip colors, it doesn't seem fair. Been wanting this to change forever.

I'd definitely be for an actual red colour of lips. There is none, all are either brown-ish or just weird shade altogether

While the colors could be better, I think they are at least ok. But I would also really like a non-glossy version of the lip colors. The glossy lips can look good, especially on some female characters. But it just looks too much like lip gloss, especially on males. I personally don't like the lip gloss for male characters at all, so I would really, really love to be able to use lip colors WITHOUT the shine.

Have you ever seen your character in lighting like Ifrit's battle arena? Too much lip gloss, even on females. So if you don't want lip gloss on your male character, you're forced to have no lip color at all, which also isn't very realistic, because lips just aren't the same color as the skin around them.

I hate the Au'Ra lip colors. I would love a nice red or brighter colors.

I thought this was about the gloss to begin with...
But still, I can only agree. When trying to get a dark red back on my Miqo it ended up being a dark brownish red striped mass as everything was reflecting on it so much the original color was barely visible :/

Oh me oh my -- it's 6 years since this thread started and there's still no red option for lips for my character. This does me a concern.

The whole makeup character creator needs to be fixed.

The lack of eyelashes, eyeliner and eyebrows is quite bad. I wish they would update the CC and fix and add more faces and options and body options.

My biggest complaint with lip colors is that there's no RED option. I've honestly been trying to figure out exactly WHY there's no red color option for lips.

OMG this drives me NUTS in character creator. There are no ruby red options. Depending on the skin tone, some races can get closer than others to achieving a more 'red' look. It's strange to me because Red is most commonly used lipstick colour IRL.

There is also no true blue, green, black or yellow lip options. The reds are all in the orange family, and blue/greens are not vibrant either. I think they need to add some new lip colours like they did with true red, yellow, blue, pink, black, and white dyes added this past expansion. They added such vibrant pure dye colours this past expansion, so I wish they could also be available for Chocobo palettes and lip/hair colours.

Game really need an update to the customization.
There's also no red hair in the game.

If I pick red lips too it's not red at all lol and the colors are all over the place depending on face too.

I tend to use the lip colour to add more depth to the face and give it some dimension, but I recently dumped the option as it's quite glossy and ended up standing out too much for me in a lot of lighting and cutscenes. I want the colour to differentiate from the rest of the skin tone, but it would be nice if it came in matte and not glossy only.
