    melding pvp gear and morale

1st question, what's really the purpose of morale in frontline and wd.

2nd question, is it a good idea to pentameld 110 pvp gear if Gil is not an issue, will that add something for me, and if so should I focus in melding det and crit for maximizing dmg or should I do vit for survival. I main mnk in pvp btw. I'm rank 40 and almost to 41, so I really close to rank 44 and have a full set 110 hawk set.

VIT is an awesome PvP stat. When topped off a melee LB won't kill me. Pretty awesome when people waste them on me.

But no I wouldn't put too much gil into a set, it all gets capped to i80 in FL.

1: Morale increases the equipment's item level by 1 level per point of morale when in a PvP-specific environment. For example, an item level 70 equipment piece with 10 Morale becomes a level 80 item level piece when in PvP, and its stats are increased accordingly. You won't be able to see this on the item's tooltip, but it does happen and your overall stats reflect this. Keep in mind, however, that Frontlines have an item level sync (cap) of 80. This means that Morale on gear of rank-required sets is more or less useless in Frontlines, and would be of use only in unsynced Wolves' Den, where that item level sync is not in place.

2: There is no reason to add materia to PvP gear whatsoever for Frontlines PvP. In Frontlines, all materia are completely ignored. You will only want to add materia if you're playing a lot of unsynced Wolves' Den, where materia does come into effect.

There is only one area that materia actually works on PvP gear and that is in unsynced Wolves Den. (which can be scary if you are not geared)

Awesome. I have a grp with here that I wolves den everyday for about 3-4 hrs a day. We do unsych. That's good to know. That's good to know about morale I didn't know it does that. So basically ur saying my total morale points from a set is added to my ilvl? I have the full set of ilvl 100 hawk set for mnk

The number of morale that is listed on the gear adds onto the item level.

If you have a full i110 PvP set, all pieces other than a ring are effectively i130 and the weapon is i135.

As zeo explained above, each individual gear piece's Morale only effects that piece of gear. I.e. a ilvl 70 weapon w/ 15 Morale becomes an ilvl 85 weapon, regardless of Morale you might have on other gear.

So overal stat increase accordingly to that of ilvl, hmm this whole time ive been looking at it the wrong way. I thought morale just increase defense. Man so a 110 hawk weapon is really a 135? Damm that's not even having any materia. Ohh man the possibilities

Yep. Item Level is just a sort of measurement for an item's "stat budget". The higher the item level, the higher the stat budget. All items of the same item level have the same stat budget. So, item level is quite literally a measure of item power. Simple but effective, no?

This is, of course, only really the case on equipment.

How about accessories? Wait so pretty much in an unsynch pvp lvl 50 having pvp ir pve gear don't really matter, just comes down to which one have the best stat, but I think the obvius answer will be the pvp since u can also meld the with materia.
