What would you think if SE include a Duel Function 1vs1 and how should it work in FF14?!

I'd like it.
And it should work as such, I challenge someone to a duel, they accept, and get immediately blown into oblivion.
People always complain about this and that about class balance whenever the idea is brought up. Often times it involves BLM and how cast interrupts work in PvP. I can see the concerns for that, but...
Does every feature have to be so perfectly balanced? I'd rather this feature exist for fun and be terribly imbalanced than to have it not exist at all. Just don't tie anything to it - no achievements, ratings, points, or whatever else.
I wanted it, want it, and will always want it.
I loved 1v1 in DC Universe Online. However, the combat in FF14 is WAYYYYYY slower and some jobs will destroy others fast 1v1. I don't think it has a place here simply because of combat speed.
Yes, please.
As far as balance... true fairness would only come from fighting someone of the same job, regardless of future tweaks. The rest would be just to test things and learn how to deal with or survive longer against certain jobs.
Just don't keep any sort of record of win/loss or standings and people may be less inclined to take it too seriously.
People asking SE for dueling capabilities is a pretty common topic in this forum. I'd like to see dueling in this game in the future and I personally don't care about balancing for duels. Some classes act as counter-classes for other classes so you get the whole rock beats paper beats scissors loop all over again. There's similar balancing "issues" in other MMO's as well such as WoW, and I don't think balancing classes for duels is a requirement because its purely recreational.

Meh, if 1V1 were to exist, I say they get rid of the Job switching in combat restrictions and allow us to change in mid battle :U
Class imbalance? TO HELL WITH IT!! Just keep switching like a pokemon!
I would like it just so we get to PvP constantly. Having to wait for matches in FL or WD is a bore.
Also a source of constant marks or EXP even if only a little bit would be nice. More options to get either is always welcome~

You clearly don't play BLM, then. It's basically an automatic loss. BLM only functions as a support to other people. It's like being in a real life battle and sending an archer to fight some cavalry point blank. It doesn't work out. Also, how casters work in FFXIV PvP is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. You're essentially useless unless you can get the rest of your team to constantly attack whoever is attacking you in particular. Good luck with that.People always complain about this and that about class balance whenever the idea is brought up. Often times it involves BLM and how cast interrupts work in PvP. +1. I kinda just want to 1v1 for fun. I don't care about ranking/balance/rewards, just let me challenge someone for a 1v1 for shits and giggles. Like for example, it'll be fun to challenge FC members for who has to clean the stables the coming week, or who gets to open chests, etc.
