CPU throttle and lousy benchmark results (aka my PC is bad, why is that?)

So I've always wondered why my CPU shoots up to 80% when I play xiv. My housemate also has the same problem, but his PC still manages to run the game in it's current form at maximum settings... though he does use an i4 whereas I use an i7.

Anyway, I tried out the benchmark at max settings for a chuckle and got pretty lousy results. Can anyone suggest what might be the problem with my PC?

I should also point out that my CPU temprature shoots up to as high as 85, and usually floats around 75 regardless of graphical settings after having been played for a long time, like 8 hours +

The game caps single overclocked GTX 680 (raids and crowded areas) in usage with the same CPU overclocked at 4.5 Ghz (On water) I don't know why your CPU shows such high activity with just GTX 460. Should be the other way around.

That CPU usage is very strange, but the low score is because of that video card.

Those temps are ok for a 4770k, but are still high unless your CPU is overclocked, or your CPU cooler isn't sitting properly.

If your CPU is overclocked it may not be fully stable, which could be the cause of the higher CPU usage.
