It really makes me upset how much they always talk about listening to their fans and taking the communities feedback into consideration and having that communication through the forums when too often this happens and we can't even get a response from them after about a month? I honestly can't even remember if it's been a month yet with no word, it's just been that long.

It just makes it really hard to believe them when they try to flaunt how they listening to the community

It is a real (and unfortunate) possibility for them to not say anything on the matter. :/ I honestly would be fine with any answer either way at this point. Sure I would be disappointed with a no, but at least they saw the concern. Not hearing anything back is making for an edgy and anxious bunch. :s

Indeed. By now there's 40+ pages, starting post has a great presentation and 400+ likes, and that's not counting the same suggestion in other languages...

I've seen that too (the reputation for player and dev communication), but honestly from what I see on the WoW (probably not so much now) and GW2 forums, I would say the amount of responses stacks reasonably well in comparison to those two, but not exceeding them. It will always be the case where some topics get more attention than others, leaving some issues without any sign that it even registers with them, but it's some times baffling when topics like this sees only tumbleweeds coming in as far as even a community manager coming in. I've seen it happen before, and it makes me sad since it also had to do with aesthetics with a given race.

RIP BRD got a post but RIP NIN didn't... the PVP Forum has gone untouched for ages... the major RMT thread hasn't been responded to... neither has this one... neither have a lot of 200+ up-voted threads which stay on page 1 for weeks straight...

With those aforementioned threads, I would note that the RIP Bard thread only got a reply on the basis of them clarifying what the ability was, because it wasn't communicated properly. I would bet that had it not been for that, they would also be seeing nothing. It's not uncommon, but what other way can we communicate? Class balance is always a prickly affair, but in terms of feedback, WoW gets more mutual feedback just on the basis of PTRs and betas. Different games and different philosophies on how to handle things, but I think doing a pass on builds and patches through PTR and beta would go a long way to provide communication on things, not just for class balance but for graphics too.

Yeah it's pretty frustrating to still not have a response on this one way or the other.

One of the Nantes interviewers said he submitted this as a question afterward since he ran out of interview time. Maybe he'll have better luck?

Tomorrow this thread will exactly one month old and the fact that it hasn't gotten a response yet makes me sad. :c

I've been thinking the no response means that they have already implemented it or the no response means they don't want to and are trying to formulate a reply that makes sense.
Either way, a thread this old deserves some sort of response (as do many this old that have gone unnoticed).

Unfortunately I don't think we're going to get an official response to this; in Danish we have a saying, to 'tie det ihjel' - basically, keep silent until it goes away on its own. I'm pretty sure that's what's happening here, because if they had any intention of replying, surely they would have done so by now; and I think if they were looking at changing this, we would have been told - because it would be positive press for them. I think from a marketing standpoint they're choosing to leave us in ignorance until early access, rather than disappointing (and possibly dissuading) potential Heavensward buyers before then.

But I seriously hope I'm wrong; even a negative answer would be welcome at this point. Any sort of official acknowledgement would. And I've gotta admit, a tiny part of me is still holding out hope for horns being separated from faces!

I think there is still the opportunity they may give us a response, if they really didn't want to address this issue they would have closed this thread a long time ago. They wouldn't have allowed it to become 43+ pages long and have 404+ likes and be around for a month. They would have locked it and allowed it to get buried under all the talk of the liveletter.
