Please make the Au Ra horns separate from the faces!

Oh yeah, the only issue is separating horns from the face is currently impossible. Something to do with how the character data is maintained by SE or something. I wouldn't mind the ability to make a more scaly, tall, girl au ra with a tough mature looking face tbh. I just want more options in general, new things to the old races and new (and original) races to be added to the mix.

I love Hyurs because they have such detailed faces. They actually have nostrils. And their lips have a lot of texture on them and the lipsticks look better on them. And then I look at my Miqo'te's face and her eyes are sunken in or something? They don't look right. But they don't have tails. Tails > life.

That's true, but since other races also have things they'd like added (tattoos, muscle sliders, eyebrows....), if they added one thing to all races, it'd still be equal. I have no clue as to whether the system is locked to X number of customizable things, or locked to all races using the same number of customizable things. In the first case, it would require a re-haul of the system, yes, but a re-haul that should probably have been done already :p In the second case, it wouldn't need a rehaul as long as all races get something new =)

While the "add new faces so you have all the possible combinations" would be a quick fix, albeit slightly cumbersome (16 faces instead of 4), it wouldn't really be a good fix ^^; It'd be like just putting a bandaid on an infected cut without cleaning it out properly first.

Well the way I understand it is currently the amount of memory that's avaliable to hold the data that says "Okay render this for this character" is literally at it's max, hence the idea of seperating the horns and face being not possible at this very moment. The only thing I'm really curious about is how does the breast slider and lack of a male equivalent factor into the whole deal. Eyebrows and Tattoos however seem like a none issue because I'm totally sure they could push those into the one slot with every other toggle-able facial feature, god forbid we ever know why Highlanders and Eyebrows are a match that will never happen.

It seems like "Add more faces with each of the horns" is the only option til they rework the entire system (And probably drop the PS3), I think. I don't know for sure because it's just an assumption based on the very vague info they gave us. I'm not really a fan of the option because I would prefer to also have access to the men's horns on a girl PC (They just look cooler tbh) but that'd bump it up to a total of 32 faces (I think?) which is way to much.

Yep! Plus it's hard to keep it afloat, nothing too controversial for people to keep it near the top.

How about what other changes besides the horns would you like to see in the Au Ra?! I've got several additions I'd really love to see to be honest, but I'd love to hear other people's wants.

I had really hoped that the Raen/Xaela distinction would aesthetically work out like Midlander/Highlander... alas. That's probably too much to ask for at this point. Would have made everyone happy, but I guess SE is only interested in pleasing a single portion of their playerbase.

Splitting the horns from the faces is really the biggie right now. But I would also like facial features split from face types - this applies to all races. >_< Hate that you have to have a particular face type in order to get a particular scar or mark or scale.

God you're telling me. Tbh having the Raen be cutesy and feminine while the Xaela would be tough and more beast-like would solve a ton of people's issues. A lot of their responses regarding why the Au Ra look the way they do really make me worried for the future of new races (like coming in 2017, another Hyur + small animal bits, weird skin, and cute girls/tough men)

I don't mind it so much with scales (cause they'd look a little odd unless of you unlocked scales from the face too), but stuff like scars or tattoos really should be avaliable for everyone.

Alright guys so let me ask you this, if we had to compromise a certain feature in order for them to implement this. What would you want it to be?, no hairstyles for 6 months?, take another customization feature away? like the horn trinkets?. You know something to compensate for implement such a desired feature.
