If anything its the new consoles putting the PC's away. They can do what most lay people do with a PC and in some cases better and faster. I have a tiny little console that takes up hardly any room on the shelf under the TV, it can play games, go online, watch movies, use Netflix, Hulu, Amazon. It has a camera, play songs, play Blu-Ray, record game play, take screenshots, store photos. I can link it directly to YouTube, Facebook, etc... I don't need to upgrade it, worry about temperature, worry about turning my graphics down, ease of use. I don't think consoles are going anywhere. I love my PC I have games on there that would never run on a console, but sad to say I think the consoles will take over.
