No, no, no, the crux of these arguments isn't "I could have carved a trail of blood out of Ul'dah." The crux is that "we didn't have an option to," when lots of role players have established their PC is a spitfire who won't take things lying down. We didn't get have the option to do anything about the frame job, and that kind of ruins the immersion - the real problem people have with the ending... but immersion is ruined in pretty much every cutscene, where things happen you don't influence and your character agrees to do pretty much everything everyone asks of them.
Also why I brought up the name thing, because if you really want immersion you should have a name that makes sense for your race/sex. (And it's a bit pedantic, but I'm pretty sure you were going for Panacea.)
People love being lauded by the NPCs in cutscenes, but when you're slandered now losing control is "unfair" and "my PC would never react like that" etc. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
