You'll be incapable of logging in, the same if you log out in a HW only area or everything needing the new content.Playing with other people is a different issue than playing the same account and characters from different platforms. It doesn't answer what happens when you become an Au Ra using the platform you installed Heavensward on, and then try to log in that same character from your other platform that only has ARR on it. Players have speculated in both directions on that issue, but at least as far as I've seen SE doesn't seem to have directly addressed it.
I know this will not sound pleasing to hear. Trust me I am in same boat. However, as long as they do give us the right to purchase it before the 19th they did their jobs. Sony & SE. I have a similar situation with another MMO Elder Scrolls Online. Have it preordered and ready to go however, the company says it cannot give me a code to unlock the game till the 8th. Which happens to be the day before the game goes live on the 9th. LOL They told me in an email it was console limitations. IDK about that but that is what they said. Still lmao about that one. In either case it's not just a sony thing or se thing. Other companies can run into the same thing. Just be patient little longer. I would hit the panic button closer to the 19th because as it stands many ppl in this thread have said SE is silent. They probably are gonna be till this game goes on PSN Store. For what it's worth.
you guys know that feeling of doing terrible on your report card from grade school and that ride on the bus home to face the music? That's how Im starting to feel over here.

It's one thing for it not to be up and for there to be a reason why it isn't. But the fact that we're all sitting completely in the dark aside from "oh yeah, you'll get it, don't worry!" is frustrating, waiting if we're going to get the perks everybody else does for pre-ordering.
Yea know i feel so nervous psn today today!!!!!! the wait will kill me :PIt's one thing for it not to be up and for there to be a reason why it isn't. Look, everyone is anxious to buy this expansion. It would be downright absurd in the most extreme sense of the word for them to not release this at least by 06/16/15 (the final Tuesday update before Early Access goes live). They will not only piss a lot of people off, but they will probably lose a lot of subs as well. Everyone I know on PS4 except for a select few who wanted that dumb dragon, is waiting for the digital version to be released on the PSN Store. Regardless of the conspiratorial marketing scam accusations, there is no way SE will risk losing upwards of hundreds of thousands (theoretical, including PS3 as well) of returning/existing/new players by not offering this product digitally on PSN.
Yes, we deserve some answers. Yes, we deserve more communication. Also...yes, they are probably waiting until the very last minute to release this on PSN. They obviously want as many panicked people as possible (read: this thread) to go and buy it directly from their store because then they don't owe a 3rd party distributor (Sony) any money at all for those purchases. It isn't free to advertise and sell your game on PSN. It isn't free to advertise and sell your game at a GameStop, or other physical retailer. These guys take cuts. Of course SE is going to try and minimize those cuts. It's sound and valid business practices. It is not being done to shun an entire playerbase. This is not some personal vendetta against Sony!!! And imo, you can't use "it being on PSN in Japan" as a valid excuse here when the company has already proven it will flat out charge different countries more money for the same product. We are not their initial audience and that should be duly noted.
But for the love of Hydaelyn, no.....no they won't in any sane mindframe hold this off PSN until it's too late to gain early access. And if for some reason...06/16/15 rolls around and we don't have the option to pre-order this off PSN I will believe the finger-pointing from SE blaming Sony because as a publisher and distributor of a hot commodity, the absolute last thing they would want is for their product to reach fewer hands.
Not really, since one side isn't saying anything. Sony is pointing the finger at SE for the holdup and SE seems to be in a total communication blackout regarding everything related to the release.
Combined with the fact that it's two different Sony networks, plus Steam, plus Amazon, (and those are just the ones I know of) that are stuck with nothing, and it definitely looks like an SE issue.
