Thanks for the reply Bayohne!
Can we count on a similar stance for Steam users? As soon as we have information to share, we'll be sure to pass it along. We're very well aware that users are looking forward to pre-ordering on PSN, but we're still working with Sony on making that happen.
We've not forgotten you all, but it does take more time than the physical pre-orders. (There are a lot of moving parts to consider!)
You will be able to pre-order it, and receive the pre-order bonuses, ahead of launch, so don't worry.
Exactly what we wanted to hear, thank you so much for checking back!Yes, as I mentioned, they will include the pre-order bonuses (early access is a pre-order bonus).
Also, I know you're all very anxious that it's not available yet, but keep in mind that we still have plenty of time until the launch (or start of early access) for pre-orders on PSN to begin. We're very much aware you're all waiting (very patiently!) and are working on it.
What about the $20 CE digital upgrade for people who already purchased the ARR + Heavensward bundle? Many of us are anxious to have access to this purchase.Yes, as I mentioned, they will include the pre-order bonuses (early access is a pre-order bonus).

I hope we have a pre download option, PSN updates take a whole year as it is. that way we can actually play with everyone else on early access instead of waiting FOREVER for the download.

Hnggggg i hope they don't wait till like the end of may to put up the pre order option on the psn store.
Cuz i realllllly wanna get dat early access code but am debating if i should
-go to local game store and order it
- buy it via se store
- wait for the psn store release
Weeeell sorta yes and sorta no. It depends. I don't recall a FFXI expansion ever pushing the 60 dollar mark, I think they were 40 bucks. It's been too long to recall and too few expansions for me to remember but I know expansion prices typically matches the amount of content given. Instead of complaining about the dollar count, we should consider that the price indicates a rather large expansion. FF MMO expansions are always large expansions, it's just likely it'll take them another year or three to finish it post release....
I'm most curious to see how this expansion is being done. Are they staying true to their history with half done expansion releases? Or after nearly two years of development are they finally bringing it for a expansion release? We shall see but one thing is for damn certain. There's going to be a repeat of early access+launch day. I guaranfreakingtee it. "Oh no they definitely learned their lesson and will be prepar-" No, they haven't. Don't worry, whoever you are that will think that. You will learn the hard way like the rest of us did :x
