Ok let's talk about events and Europeans

This is starting to piss me off.

I'm an event person, it's one of the things I enjoy the most when I play a MMORPG. I always participate in all of them... when I'm allowed, and unfortunately... I'm European.
First you made the Valentione's event for NA people only. Then the Realm Redubbed one too (and this one I really wanted to participate) and now you leave us out of the Au'Ra twitter contest.

Are you being serious? Why is this? There's not even a physical prize! I would understand if the prize was a plushie or whatever and you had to ship it to... idk... Spain. But it's a twitter contest and the reward is an in-game item...

I just can't find a reason and after being left out for the third time I'm actually mad right now. So please explain. Is this a legal thing? You can't host a twitter event out of the Americas? You don't have enough people to review all the entries? Do you need community managers for Europe? Because I'll gladly apply for the job.

My best guess is that it has to do with laws of the EU concerning contests. There is probably a bunch of paperwork SE just doesn't want to bother with...

US is one country, two if you extend it to Canada. EU is a whole bunch of countries with different local laws. Plus there's probably localisation concerns as well and a lack of interest in translating content to/from non-English languages if they can help it. It all falls under the category of "too much effort to bother with".

Canada itself is like two different countries when it comes to contest laws.
Quebec is different from the other provinces/territories in quite a few things.

the US is like that too. Except we have a lot more states with a lot more convoluted gambling laws.

Was going to mention this also. The US has Federal and State law all different, especially when it comes to contests. If you ever read the fine print on alot of things there are states that would be excluded or have variances. Granted Federal law trumps State law in most cases. States are free to make their own laws where no Federal laws exists, or make more stringent laws to current Federal laws. Like minimum wage, the Feds set the absolute minimum but states can increase that amount, just can't lower it.

the amount of events for the US is very small compaired to the JP side forum activity from mods as well. Se has People that work in the US on the french and german localization in
but they don't employ any full time forum moderators for the EN/FR/De Don't expect events they are something that a bonus, Don't expect forum replies information is given on need
to know only. This isnt blizzard or a social media outlet. For year SE had no form of comunication with NA or EU outside of support lines.

The Grant a Wish contest was EU-exclusive, featuring Scarf of Wondrous Wit as a prize. I believe this is the first contest offering it to NA players. I agree that if the prize is virtual, it should be a contest open to all regions (as they do with the seasonal screenshot contests). As an NA player, I was envious of the Grant a Wish contest.

NA and EU were even on exclusives up until this year's Valentione event.

Are you serious? You fail to mention the fact that not even EVERYONE in the NA can participate? I'm a console player and I can't have a benchmark program, let alone the ability to actually join this event.

It's wrong on a few levels, not just that EU can't do it.

To add another level of wrong, I dislike that this and the Eozea IRL contests required use of Twitter.
